A former Navy diver and lifelong fisherman, Mike is at home on the open waters. Rivers, lakes, and oceans - he's fished them all, but he's always happiest out on the ocean reeling in the really big fish.
An Idea
Even the saltiest seaman can start aching for relief half an hour into fighting a healthy bluefin tuna. Mike was used to using parts of his boat, gear, and body to get the needed leverage, but during one of these fights he had a better idea - the Reel Arm!
Mike's Reel Arm
Working with a local machinist, Mike developed a folding steel arm that could provide extra leverage and keep the pole from twisting in his hands.
